Ioannis Pallikaris

Medical Lead / Inventor

Laboratory of Vision and Optics  (LVO). University of Crete.

Since 1989, Professor Ioannis Pallikaris has been a pioneering leader in the research of Refractive Surgery, bringing over thirty years of discovery experience to this promising new therapy. He has contributed to three breakthrough articles in Ophthalmology related to the development and groundwork of LASIK. He performed the first LASIK in human eyes in June 1990 and he is recognized from the international ophthalmic community as the “Father of LASIK”.

Aristofanis is the driving force behind continuous business growth. He has a significant body of work in the research of imaging techniques of the human eye, as well as, in general management and scientific supervisor of companies.

Harilaos S. Ginis

Harilaos performs a critical role in driving innovation and contributes to process improvement initiatives across the company. He is active in the field of biomedical physics and especially, physiological optics, ophthalmic devices and vision.

Marina Chatzea


Clinical Trial Monitor

Dr. Marina Chatzea is involved in the clinical monitoring of fixOflex intraocular ring protocols. Graduating with honors from the Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, she began her career as a pre-resident Ophthalmology Research Fellow at the 1st University Ophthalmology Clinic of "Georgios Gennimatas" Hospital in Athens.

Loukia, is a detail-oriented professional responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities. Her main area of expertise focuses on mathematical modeling and statistics for Ophthalmology.

Chair of the department of ophthalmology at the University of Bochum and director of the University Eye Clinic. Burkhard Dick is a German ophthalmologist who has specialized in refractive and cataract surgery. With his many contributions to the scientific literature on this topic, he is considered one of the pioneers of employing the femtosecond laser in cataract surgery.

Dr. Ahmed Elmassry presented Abstract regarding Intraocular Lens Stabilisation with a novel implant

We report a case of a patient that was implanted with an intracapsular ring during phacoemulsification cataract surgery.

fixOflex was selected out of more than 45 emerging company applications to present a talk during the cataract extraction session.

Prof. Pallikaris along with EYE PCR team joined the 36th International Congress.

From January 27th to 29th 2022, the 27th Pallas Kliniken Ophthalmological Conference (OTO) took place with numerous highlights.

Eye PCR is participating with a presentation of fixOflex using the early outcome of a cohort of 108 patients from the on going Clinical Trial in Alexandria, Egypt.

EYE-PCR has presented a poster referring to the on going Clinical Trial in Alexandria. The early outcome of a cohort of 72 patients was promising. A video of Prof. Ioannis Pallikaris presenting the fixOflex Ring was released.

EYE PCR is happy to announce that the abstract submitted by Prof. Ahmed El Massry has been accepted for a poster presentation during the ESCRS 2020 annual congress.
