EYE PCR is happy to announce that the abstract submitted by Prof. Ahmed El Massry has been accepted for a poster presentation during the ESCRS 2020 annual congress. The up to 6 months post operative results of the initial 16 patients that underwent cataract surgery with the use of fixOflex will be presented during that time.
Prof. Ahmed El Massry along with Prof Osama Ibrahim Sayed are the principal investigators of the ongoing clinical trial at the University of Alexandria. The clinical trial will eventually include 120 patients and the objective is to perform 12-month follow up in order to evaluate the safety and efficacy of fixOflex. An additional clinical trial is expected to commence by the end of 2020 at the University Hospital of Heraklion, Crete, Greece.
